At last - light at the end of the tunnel!

It's been a while but, finally, we can get the InkPhotography ball rolling because we have something on the calendar.

Firstly, we have a trip to the North York Moors in April with another trip to Grasmere booked for December and plans for a short visit to Snowdonia in between.

We last visited the North York moors 4 years ago so it's about time we returned and will have lots to cram into the week - if they are open, there will be the steam trains on the NYMR tracks (fingers crossed for this one!) plus plenty of sunrise opportunities on the coast and the numerous walks across the moors

Snowdonia will no doubt include an early morning start at Llyn Ogwen - a place that I love but have yet to get a decent image from, as the weather has always been pretty poor.

I have still not paid a visit to the lone tree at Llanberis - OK, so everyone and his dog has taken this shot, but I haven't and it needs to be in my portfolio.

Other places in Snowdonia include Dinorwic quarries, Beddgelert, the mines above Tanygrisiau and another attempt at Capel Curig - all places that we've visited before but need a re-visit to improve on the images we already have.

Grasmere - well what can I say about Grasmere - we were fortunate enough to be able to squeeze in a visit last December and it was so good that we've booked the same cottage again.

We love the Lake District and, in my opinion, Grasmere is the jewel in the crown - a very pretty village with two lakes close by plus plenty of woodland walks which provide lots of photographic opportunities, given the right weather.

Aside from the various trips, there appears to be a chance that some of the Art Shows may take place later in the year - I'd actually written this year off but I'm now hopeful that we may be able to exhibit some of our images.

Finally, there are one or two competitions to be entered and, after last year's surprise in the Landscape Photographer of the Year (LPOTY) competition - I had an image shortlisted - I have increased the number of images submitted this year.
