Well, I got the dreaded email to say that the image that had been shortlisted in this year's LPOTY competition hadn't made it to the final round of judging.
However, I'm not about to start whingeing about it as I'm delighted to have made the shortlist - never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would do so well in such a prestigious competition.
It has worked wonders for the confidence and has also acted as motivation to get out there and improve the images that I take - a much needed boost at the moment as the virus lockdown has made it difficult to keep focussed (excuse the pun!).
Moving on from this competition, I've got a couple of other images entered in different competitions and we await the outcome of those - one we should hear about fairly soon and I will keep you posted.
