2022 has already been a busy one but there is still more to fit in before the year ends - Waterperry Xmas Craft Fair is looming and, surprisingly, I have completed preparations for it so I can sit back and relax a bit.
Having said that, there is a trip to the Peak District to be squeezed in over the next couple of weeks, possibly one to the New Forest and we have 2 weeks booked for another trip to Grasmere in December.
Project 52 continues - it is a relentless pursuit for decent images but I'm devoting 2 or 3 days a week to it and just about managing to get something that I'm happy with.
This year has proved to be pretty good for the Art Shows as well, with numerous sales at all of those completed so far - there have been a couple of new ones added to the list of events, Wooburn Green Art Fair and Reading Art Show, and both proved worthwhile and will mean 2023 will be even busier than planned.
I've also had two images 'shortlisted' in WPOTY (Wildlife Photographer of the Year) but I won't know the outcome of that until next year - fingers crossed.
In other news, there has been some new 'branding' of the products on offer, which now come under the 'Love Smudge' banner - to start with, a variety of sizes of pictures and prints are available, along with new editions of greetings cards and, in particular, Christmas cards.
Hopefully, next year will see further additions to the portfolio.
The next big decision concerns some major investment - there's the possibility of a new camera purchase, which I've been mulling over for some months now, but can't make up my mind which of the two options available I prefer - and I've been looking at the possibility of buying a campervan. I think I mentioned in the last blog of the need to get one and it would open up so many opportunities for my photography, if I was to go ahead - things have progressed fairly quickly recently and I'm hoping to have something in place over the next couple of months - watch this space!
With everything that is happening at the moment, this is likely to be the last blog of the year so I would like to say thank you to all of you who take the time to visit the site and read the blogs plus wish everyone a very merry christmas and happy new year (it's not too early to do that, is it?).
